The clinical teaching in the clinic, wards and the operating rooms will always be supervised by a consultant. This gives an opportunity to the residents and fellows to make independent decisions under supervision. Residents also participate and present in multidisciplinary meetings with radiology, pathology and oncology. All the critical thinking and decision-making will be supported by the literature and needs to be evidence based. The shortage of nurses and trained paramedical staff is a major challenge in health care delivery, not only in Pakistan but across the world.
